The world fifth highest mountain is Makalu which is neighboring of Khumbu Himalayas range including Mt. Everest and Mera peak which is lies in the Makalu Barun National Park established in 1992 and park spreads 2330 sq. km, area of the Solukhumbhu and Sankhuwasabha districts of eastern Nepal. Covers the Barun valley which is part of a huge international protected area under an agreements between Nepal and China.
