Tamang Heritage Trekking Trail is a newly opened trek in the Langtang National Park. The trek is easy to moderate and it offers spectacular view of the Himalayas and unique culture of Tamang People. The trail goes through the villages of Tamang, Sherpa people who resembles the life style of the Tibetan people with their culture, traditions, architecture and handy crafts. The Tamang heritage trail trek passes through an elevation of between 1700m to 3100m, visiting Buddhist monasteries, beautiful landscape of the alpine terrain, incredible wide range views of Sirung Himal, Langtang Himal range and Ganesh Himal. The beauty soothes and actually heals the soul.
Moving on the trail you pass by the hot springs where you can take a dip and enjoy the natural hot spring water. From here you trek to the picturesque village of Gatlang and Bridhim where you spend the night. and be entertained by a cultural show of local people The trail continues to Rasuwagadi where you witness the Ghurkha's story of the 17th century. Then a descend to Syabrubesi to end your trek or you may extend your trek to the beautiful Langtang valley.

Outline Itinerary.
Day 01:
Arrival in Kathmandu 1350m. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Cultural Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Gatlang 2240m- 9hrs by Driving. Overnight at Community lodge.

Day 04: Gatlang – Tatopani 2610m- 5hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05: Tatopani – Nagthali 3300m- 4hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse. 

Day 06: Nagthali – Briddim 2230m- 6hrs Trek. Overnight at home-stay.

Day 07: Briddim – Syabrubesi 1560m- 4hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse. Optional You can continues your trek to Langtang valley.

Day 08: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu 7hrs by Driving. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Depature.

Detail Itinerary

Detail Itinerary of 9Days Gatlang, Briddim Tamang Heritage Trail.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1350m/4428ft.
Upon your arrival at airport, our official representative will be at airport with your name in signboard. Then you will be driven to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Guided Cultural Sightseeing.
Your guided tour sightseeing will take you into the Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu is very famous for handy craft, Architectures, monument which carries the story from 7th /8th century, and the places you going to visit are the listed in world heritage sites such as a
Durbar-Square: Home of living Goddess and witness of architecture from 16th/17th century.
Buddhanath Stupa: Known as little Tibet in Nepal because of the area is occupied by Tibetan people. The largest Buddhist Stupa in the south Asia
Pashupatinath Temple: The temple carried very long history and amazing monuments, architecture attract the tourist. The holy Bhagmati River following middle of the temple and the death body cremate on beside the river.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Gatlang 2240m/7345ft- 9hrs by driving.
Today we are driving to Gatlang, our drive continue on Pasang Lhamu highway passing a beautiful landscapes and glimpse of Langtang range and Ganesh himal, We resume driving east back of Trishuli river which is very popular for white water rafting. Then our drive passing the kaliskathan, Mulkharka where we can see the grave of the villagers then shortly drive through the jungle will bring you at Dunche and Syabrubesi. Now driving goes on bumpy road till the Bahun Dand and then Gatlang.
Overnight at Home Stay.

Day 04: Gatlang – Tatopani 2610m/8560ft- 5hrs Trek.
Our journey start descending through beautiful landscape territory to Chilime. After crossing the suspension bridge and walking through the small and beautiful traditional Tamang village we then climb up the grain terrain and villages. This path brings you at Tatopani- natural hot spring. You can visit the pool and take a dip to remove your muscles pain. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Tatopani – Nagthali 3300m/10825ft- 4hrs Trek.
Our trek continue climbing up on the dense forest. We often encounter the wild animals monkey and barking spotted deer. Then its a visit to the very old Buddhist monastery in the village and take beautiful photographs. Continue climbing on terrain alpine to Nagthali – very important for views of mountains including border Himalayas, hill and deep valleys. Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Nagthali – Briddim 2230m/7315ft-  6hrs Trek.
We have sunrise view on Himalayas then descend through alpine forest, passing Thuman and keep descending to the foot of Nagthali. We then cross the Bhite Koshi which flows from Tibet. We meet local people burrowing up and down for shopping at the border where they are able to buy very cheap Chinese goods. After lunch we resume our journey climbing up through the village and cross the river reaching the Briddim village situated on top of the sloppy hill and the rhododendron forest. Tonight we stay in different houses on the rotation basics, spending the night with host family for an amazing home stay experience.

Day 07: Briddim – Syabrubesi 1560m/5115ft- 4hrs Trek.
The trail descend through the pine forest and passing village. The path offers wide views of valley and before crossing the Bhote koshi river meeting the very famous Langtang valley trail and then reach at Syabrubesi. Along the river the trail leads to the Border of two country which was used to be very important in 17tth /18th century because of accessorial trade with the Tibetan people where they exchange foodstuffs, salt and mountain goat. In optional you can continues your trek to Langtang valley from Briddim
Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu- 7hrs by driving.
Our drive continue on the Passng Lhamu highway passing the Dunche, kalikathan, Trishuli, kakani then Kathmandu.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Departure.
According to your flight schedule, you'll be transffered to the international airport.

anti-infection ointments, etc.
