Gokyo Lake trek
- less busy route with the best view of lakes & mountain. A hike begins from 2860 meter then follow a route up to 5700 m on the glacier. Gokyo Ri sunrise view trek is a moderate trek in the Khumbu region. The scenery along this trek is awesome with the Gokyo valley on the glacier, surrounded by the giant mountains of the Himalayas at 360º degree. From here you see Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu- four of the eight highest peaks on Earth together with many other peaks and the sparkling bright blue Gokyo lake. You then walk around the Ngozumpa glacier where you get picture postcard shots of the whole scenery with the mountainous background. Gokyo lake trek start as it start Everest base camp trek but it is less crowded then Everest base camp and an amazing view of the Himalaya and sparking lakes. The trek begins from Lukla and continues along the Dudh Koshi river, passing a spectacular life style of Sherpa people, superb mountain views and religious Buddhist site and finally reach Gokyo Ri. The ridge provides an amazing and breathtaking sunrise on the Himalayas. This would be the life time experience reach at the Gokyo Ri than retracing all the way descend to Lukla.
