Note:
All the trekkers should arrive in Kathmandu one or two days earlier than scheduled. Also, advice to have 1 or 2 days extra after your EBC trek. The Lukla flight is often canceled or delayed due to the bad weather. The extra day helps you to continue your international flight.
Daily itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2,610 m)
4 Hours Trek B/L/D with hot drink Lodge
In the morning drive to the domestic airport for the Lukla flight. A 45-minute Lukla flight offers mountain vista, picturesque villages, and magnificent landscapes scenery. Upon arrival, Tenzing Hillary airport introduces the porter who assists us entire mountain trek. The porter take-care your big luggage and you will hike with your day-pack. First day of Everest base camp trek walking to Phakding village. From Lukla descending through villages to Thado Koshi and then light climb to Phakding. The distance from Lukla to Phakding is km and it is about 3/4 hours trekking. A trial is a nature and culture doctorate.
Day 02: Phakding - Monjo -Jorsalle - Namche Bazaar (3,441 m)

From Phakding to Namche Bazar mostly climbs up through the pristine forest and the cultural villages. On way to Namche Bazar crossing high suspension bridges 5 times. We view the trail as well deck of Buddhist culture. We are entering Sagarmatha national park beyond Monju village where we check-in trekking permits. We follow our trail along with the blue, green, and white color Dudh Koshi River till Jorsalle. Then steep climb up into the pine and rhododendron forest to Namche Bazar. We also get first glimpse of Mount Everest. Namche Bazar is a business hub and all trek-related things are available. The weekend market is interesting to observe. You’ll be sleeping 2-nights in Namche in order of high altitude acclimatization.
Day 03: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day

Our Everest base camp trek itinerary allows us to spend an extra night at Namche Bazar for acclimatization. Can spend a day roaming around Namche Bazar and visiting Sherpa museum as well monastery. But advice does short and easy trek up to Everest view hotel or Thame village. This 4-5 hours day trip helps you for better respiration while going up the next day. The day trek also provides a panoramic mountain vista of the surrounding Himalayas.
Day 04: Namche Bazar - Phunge Thenga - Tengboche (3,870 m)
6 Hours Trek B/L/D with hot drink Guesthouse
After delicious breakfast leaving from Namche Bazar, climbing up on the stone-stair trail. Now trek continues on flatten path to Kyangjuma with enjoying spectacular Mountain View. The Gokyo Lake and Everest base camp route separate from here, then we follow downhill trail to Phungi Tenga. From the Dudh Koshi River the uphill trail takes us through the rhododendron and pine forest to famous Buddhist monastery, Tengboche. This holy region wildlife protection and commonly see Himalayan Thar, blue sheep, Musk deer, and Pleasants. The monastery has a footprint of the founder monk, believed to flue from Rongbuk monastery Tibet. Each day the monks do daily rituals by playing Tibetan instruments.
Day 05: Tengboche - Pangboche - Dingboche (4,440 m)
5-6 Hours Trek B/L/D with hot drink Guesthouse
Set off from Tengboche and the trail drops into the rhododendron forest with passes Debuche and nunnery monastery. We pass Imja river then a short climb up trail end at Pangboche village. The native is supporting their life from tourism, agriculture, and animal husbandry. Pangboche is the highest altitude human habitant in the route. A trailhead on the alpine terrain above the Imja River, it offers a mountain view in 360 degrees. We leave forestry behind and enter the glacier zone where feel altitude vibes. Dingboche is the large hamlet located between Mount Ama Dablam and Lhotse.
Day 06: Acclimatization day hike to Dingboche Peak (4,980 m)

We are spending 2-nights at Dingboche village in order of high altitude acclimatization. There is varied way to spend a day like hiking to Chukung Ri, Narkang Hill/Nangkartshang peak, or Island peak base camp. We recommend climbing Narkang Hill, it rapid climb and provides a breathtaking mountain view. It is about a 4-5 hours day trip and gets the best view of Mount Ama Dablam, Makalu and Imja valley.
Day 07: Dingboche - Dughla - Lobuche (4,910 m)
5-6 Hours Trek B/L/D with hot drink Guesthouse
We continue climb and get closer to Everest base camp. About 5-6 hours trekking from Dingboche village to Lobuche and 500 m altitude gain in a day. The Lobuche village is set at foot of Lobuche peak on the Khumbu glacier. TheChola pass trek and Everest three passes trek route meet at Lobuche village. The trail from Dingboche to Thukla/Dughla is a gentle climb up on the tiny mountain valley. Beyond the Dughla to Chupki Lhara/Thukla pass is a steep climb up on a craggy mountain path. Hall. We view different Everest summiteer Buddhist cemeteries like Scott Fischer, Rob Hall, Babu Chiri Sherpa etc. The trail embarks with a great view of Pumori and the bordering mountain of Tibet.
Day 08: Lobuche - Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) - Gorak Shep (5,180 m)

The most exciting day on the Everest base camp trek is because your dream turns into reality. Today's trek is divided into two-part, the first section reaching Gorakshep and the side trek to Everest base camp. It is one of the most challenging and adorable walks in the entire journey. As we traverse in the moraine and glacier the oxygen level might drop in the body. Here you need to listen to your body then continue at your own walking pace. Lobuche to Gorakshep compress on the moraine of Khumbu glacier. About 2-3 hours easy climb bring us to Gorakshep.
We keep our luggage at the lodge then walk to Everest base camp with sufficient drinks and an energy bar. The road to Everest base camp is rocky and chilly, the road condition is a bit different in autumn and spring. From March to May path is better because of Everest expeditions. It roughly takes 4-5 hours round trip to complete 7 km. Everest base camp situated at Khumbu glacier on side of Khumbu Icefall. After witnessing the Everest trek back to Gorakshep.
Day 09: Gorakshep - Kala Patthar (5,645 m) - Lobuche - Pheriche (4,300 m)

An early morning side trek to Kala Patthar viewpoint (5,645 m), and rewards a close-up view of Mount Everest. The reason for reaching the Kala Patthar summit earlier because to see the fiery rays touch the pinnacle of the mountains. Mount Everest is not seen from Everest base camp and trekkers climb to Kala Patthar to view the mountain range. The Kala Patthar approaches a 360-degree view of the Himalayan. Including Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse, Ama Dablam, Lobuche peak, Cholatse, Tabuche etc.
Then retrace to Gorakshep and after breakfast descend on the moraine of Khumbu glacier. Then passes Lobuche and Dughla after that finally arrive Pheriche. It is a huge descent from Gorakshep to Pheriche and possible to have good sleep in the night.
Day 10: Periche - Tengboche - Namche Bazar (3,450 m)

We head down to Namche Bazar, visiting Upper Pangboche and exploring the oldest Buddhist monastery of the Khumbu. Then walk down and cross the Imja river and climb up to Tengboche monastery. A trail again leads down to Dudh Koshi river after that climb up to Namche. The view of the Himalayas, diverse landscapes and the culture display is amazing. cultural.
Day 11: Namche Bazar - Monju - Phakding - Lukla (2,804 m)
7-8 Hours Trek B/L/D with hot drink Guesthouse
The last day of the Everest base camp trek and returning to Lukla village where the trek began. A trek descends through a forest, villages, and crossing suspension bridges. From Tado Koshi gradually climbing up till Lukla. After arriving Lukla take a hot shower and then in the evening Everest base camp successful party with a crew.
Day 12: Morning Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

We follow our flight to Kathmandu, a 45-minute flight provides a close-up mountain view. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, transfer to hotel by private vehicle. In the evening the host organizes a farewell dinner at a Nepalese restaurant. Where can watch live Nepalese culture and eat authentic Nepalese meals.

Everest Base Camp Trek Cost and Price
The Everest base camp trek cost is based on the group size and includes services. We, Musical trek operate Everest base camp trek from U$S1100, and as the items add the price also rise. Everest base camp trek cost for Indian passport holders is cheaper than foreigner trekkers. As the travelers’ number increased in the group the trip cost became cheaper. We also give free trips who collect a minimum of 10 people in the group.
In Regards to Lukla Flight
Lukla airport is set on a small hilltop with hedged by the mountain. The length of the airport is 528 m runway where an only small plane is the mode of primary transport which mean twin otter and Dornier can allow to flight regularly. As the airfield situated above the Dudh Koshi valley and foot of boulder the little climate change also affect the flight attendant then result come out the flight might delay or canceled. If the flight is canceled due to the bad weather forecast, it will be postpone for a few hours or the next day. In case of flight delay or cancel other option is available to take a helicopter back to Kathmandu which might cost U$$250 to U$$400 per passengers. The helicopter has the capacity to carry 4/5 passengers each trip.
Everest Base Camp Trek Accommodation
En route of Everest base camp tea house trek normal and luxury accommodation is available. The local guesthouse and lodges are built with mud, stone and wood also have well insulated.
We arrange twin sharing basic accommodation where two single bedrooms are available. Trekkers have to pay for a single supplementary room charge. All the guesthouse room has acrylic mink blankets but we advice you to carry your own sleeping bag. Especially Lobuche and Gorakshep have limit lodges with a limited bedrooms. Along the EBC trek both English and Asian common sharing lavatory are an available corner of a building.
Best season for Everest base camp trek
Nepal has four seasons in the year spring, monsoon, autumn, and winter. Two dissimilar seasons are the recommended for the Everest base camp trek. The post-winter (March-April-May) and pre-winter (September-October-November) are the best EBC trek season. Autumn is the busiest trekking season on the EBC trek route. There will be a clear day with mild temperature and can see a few waterfalls en the route. You will see breathtaking Mountain View without any layer of fog and smoke. After that spring is another good trekking season in Nepal.
Throughout three months the rhododendron and magnolia are blossooming in the route. The mild temperature weather and get clear mountain vista. This is also mountaineer season and meet-up with Mount Everest summiter at EBC.
Meals on Everest Base Camp Trekking
During the Everest base camp trek, meals can choose from an open menu. Where a wide range of Nepalese, Indian and continental meals are available. The meals include rice items, potatoes, noodles, chapati, toast, pancake, egg, Spaghetti, Pizza, Various Soup, Curries, Apple Pie, Mo Mo, etc.
The meat items are available through the route but honestly speak it is not fresh and not advised to eat. Our Everest base camp trek standard package provides three meals a day breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a hot drink.
Basically, dinner and breakfast eat at the same guesthouse where you spend overnight. The lunch will be eaten half of the walk in the midday. The meals taste in the mountain trek is different than your home but delicious. Also, it contains fresh garden vegetables and preparing in a hygienic kitchen.
