Daily itinerary

Upon your arrival, Kathmandu international airport receiving your guide with fresh wreath then transfer to your hotel. Your trek guide stays standby with your name on the signboard. After room check-in, the hotel has own time until official meeting an evening.

Early in the morning, your guide comes to your hotel then drives to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport. A 45-minute mountain flight allows us to have a thrilling experience with mountain range spanning from Ganesh Himal to Rolwaling. At Lukla introduce with porter then tied your shoestring then follow Gokyo Lake Trek route with descending through villages and farmland to Chhiplung Village where Phaplu and Jiri route joint. We descend through the lush green valley towards Phakding village along Dudh Koshi River. A trailhead Phakding village is draped by charming Buddhist flavor like Stupas, Chortens, and Monasteries. After reaching Phakding highly recommend do side trip to Thaktul/Pemacholing Monastery, 2-3 hours hike for a round trip.

We walk through along the river passing villages and crossing a suspension bridge. The trail leads us in the forest of pine, giant fir, and rhododendron to reach Manju where we enter into the Sagarmatha National Park. Here we need to register our official Cho La pass trek permits. Then we continue to trek passing Jorsalle and cross Hillary suspension bridge then ascending switchback up complete the pine forest and fir that leads to Upper Kshum Khangru Peak Viewpoint where we get the first glimpse of Mt. Everest. The trek resumes through the dense forest to reach the popular Sherpa village, Namche Bazar.

If the time permitted side trips to Everest National park headquarter and overlook stunning sunset on Mount Everest and see Himalayan Monal on potatoes farm.

Namche Bazar is a charming mountain village surrounded by high mountains and commercial hub for the neighboring Sherpa villages. The extra-day in Gokyo Lake, give you enough time to explore the wilderness Gokyo valley also meantime fine acclimatize with high altitude before heading to Everest base camp. Today we plan to discover a north side of Gokyo Lake where can see fourth Gokyo Lake, Fifth Gokyo Lake and Ngozumpa Tse (5,700 m). From the lodge, we trek on the moraine valley and it walled by crystalize mountain, the sparking turquoise lakes make it more beautiful. The trail is fairly easy till Gokyo Lake V on the rubble and rocky trail but the further trek to Ngozumpa Ri is steeply climbing on the mountain. Fifth Gokyo Lake offers the best view of the north face of Mount Everest. Comparatively, Ngozumpa Ri path is hard and difficult near to the Ngozumpa Ri summit because of need to walk rock to rock but it offers an astounding view of Mount Cho Oyu, Gyanchung Kang with entire Gokyo Valley as well as all the Gokyo Lake. Also can see Cho Oyu base camp and sixth Gokyo Lake from the Ngozumpa Ridge after all returned to camp at Gokyo Lake.

Another great day on Everest Base Camp Cho La pass trek, wake up early in the morning then side trek to Gokyo Ri (5,360 m) above sea level. The Dragnak village situated east bank of Ngozumpa glacier, we walk onto the glacier with having an awesome view of Mount Cho Oyu. It is around 3-4 hours trekking to the camp.

This is one of the longest and tough days in Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp Trek, We eat earlier breakfast at Dragnak. A trek beings with sufficient drinking water for 8 hours trek plus some energy bar for on the way. From the lodge follow the uphill path on the pasture till the big rock. Now the trail rhythm changes into the rocky and icy. A trail few meters lower the Cho La pass summit is completely icy and recommend to extra take-care. The Cho La Pass (5,420 M/17,777 FT) summit expose the lovely view of both side west and east valley. After taking a picture and rest trek resume with walking aside from Cho La Glacier Lake and need to extra careful in this section often a rockfall from the mountain after sunshine. While descending to Zonglha hamlet enjoy the spectacular mountain view of the Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Cholatse, etc.

The trek to Lobuche is quite short with 3-4 hours walking on the large pasture, throughout the walk offers breathless Mountain Outlook. As it is a little trek to camp, we have optional activities and it might be fit for you. Awi Peak (5,240 m) stands between Lobuche and Zonglha village basement of Lobuche Peak. A path to Awi Peak is steeply up on the mountains and it offers grand mountain view of Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Cholatse, Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Kangtega with together widest Khumbu valley. After summiting the viewpoint follow downhill on a stony path to Lobuche peak base camp and then easy walk to Lobuche settlement. The total journey via Awi peak takes 5-6 hours to Lobuche.
Literally more travelers in Lobuche village than Gokyo valley because a lot of people follow the Everest base camp route, the reason is easily accessible and can do in a short period.

We start trek early because of side trek to Everest base camp. We wake-up early in the morning then hike up to the famous viewpoint of Everest trekking Kala Patthar (5645 m). The viewpoint provides stunning Mountain View in 360º-degree and striking glacier scenery. Kala Patthar viewpoint is the best place to see Mount Everest and the large Khumbu glacier. A road to Kala Patthar summit is strong climbing up on the ridge and it covered with pebble and rocks. Now returned to Gorakshep and have a hot and delicious breakfast. A trek retrace to Lobuche, going down is slightly easier than climbing. On way to Periche stop at Dughla pass and spot traditional cemetery of Everest summiteer and continues walking down to Dughla tea shop after lunch trek resume on the Periche valley to the camp.

Today getting back to Namche Bazar, the village where can have luxurious drinks and pastries. The journey to Namche Bazar would take around 6-7 hours for the average hiker, a trail contains steeply down on the Grit Mountains and gentle ascent up in the pine forest. We also waking through few villages Samar, Pangboche, Tengboche monastery and make trek loop at Kyangjuma village. Throughout the hike enjoy an awesome view of the high mountains and the Buddhist culture flavor. The best of Namche Bazar internet, hot shower, pubs, and bar.

Last day of physical trek during your Everest base camp Cho La pass trek. We begin trek early in the morning because we have to walk 20 km to complete the trek to reach Lukla. Steeply descend down to Hillary Bridge from Namche Bazar via the Upper Kshum Khangru viewpoint which provides the last glance of giant Mount Everest. We cross the several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and also throughout villages to Lukla. After arriving Lukla village lets your leg relax and celebrate your success party with the crew.

Taking an early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, on arrival Kathmandu airport transfer to your hotel. Lukla Flight Update
The Civil aviation association of Nepal has recently update Lukla flight statues, during the peak travel season in Nepal, Lukla flight operating from Ramechap also known Manthali airport. Due to the rise of traffic crowding of Tribhuvan international airport Kathmandu. Most probably April/May and October/November Lukla flight operating from Manthali airport of Ramechhap.

Regards Manthali Airport:
Manthali airport is approximately 140 km far from Kathmandu and it requires about 4 hours by a private drive. During the peak trekking season most probably all Lukla flights operating to and from Manthali airport. Since the Lukla flight operative from Ramechhap airport either spend overnight at Manthali or starts drive early in the morning about 02:30 am the arrive Ramechhap around 07:00 am.
